Damon M. Fellman MD is Associate Chief of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center. He had been Director of Neurology at Holy Name Hospital for 12 years and Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center for 13 years. Since 1978, Dr. Fellman has been an instructor in Neurology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical School in New York City.

Dr. Fellman is a Board Certified Neurologist and sees both adults and children. He has been a longtime member of the Professional Advisory Board of the NJ Epilepsy Foundation and has been Secretary of the NJ Child Neurology Society since it was established. Dr. Fellman has served on the Medical Board on Hackensack University Medical Center and the Medical Executive Committee of Holy Name Hospital. He has served as consultant in Pediatric Neurology to more than 50 school systems in northern NJ.

Dr. Fellman did his Neurology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Fellowship in Neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Fellman served as a Major in the US Army and was Director of Neurology at Fort Gordon Army Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Dr. Fellman is one of the few neurologists in New Jersey who is Board Certified in Neurology and also Board Certified  in Stroke and Vascular Neurology and  Board Certified in Headache Medicine.

Dr. Fellman has received the Patients Choice Award, citation as one of NJ Best Doctors, Best Doctors in Bergen County award, and Compassionate Doctor award. He was named a GOLDDoc by the Arnold Gold Foundation for commitment to humanitarian values in medicine and clinical expertise.  He also has been named one of Castle Connolly's America's Top Doctors.  

Dr. Fellman  is married to Leslie Nagy MD, psychiatrist in Teaneck, and his favorite hobbies include reading, weekend visits to NYC for walking,  theater and art museums, and visits to his granddaughter in Brooklyn.
